Description
The FAA Flight Standards Environmental Program Manager leads the environmental compliance program for FAA business practices and National Airspace System operations. The role oversees environmental assessments, impact statements, categorical exclusions, records of decision, and findings of no significant impact; advises on NEPA, aircraft noise, tribal and state regulations, environmental restoration, hazardous materials, and energy policies; coordinates with legal counsel, contractors, developers, and other agencies; and manages program risks, budgets, schedules, and resource forecasts. The position requires U.S. citizenship, Selective Service registration for eligible males, and at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG-13, including knowledge of environmental laws, UAS authorization issues, permitting, and environmental specialties.
