Description
The Environmental Quality Specialist will supervise debris management and landfilling operations, enforce coastal and environmental regulatory laws, manage coastal management and restoration programs, oversee permits, grants, contracts, budgets, inspections, sampling, and public complaints, and provide technical support to interdepartmental personnel, contractors, and industry representatives. The role is a major division within the Environmental Affairs department, requires driving a Parish vehicle, and may require weekend, night, and holiday work. Applicants must meet one of two experience/education pathways or have a Class IV Louisiana health license for selective certification.
