Description
The Environmental Services Technician performs daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, operating rooms, MRI suites, and other hospital areas. The role also handles receiving, inventorying, stocking, and shipping supplies; prepares infection waste for disposal; completes cleaning documentation; and follows infection-control and hospital procedures. Applicants need a valid New York State driver’s license, environmental services or general housekeeping experience, and the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 45 pounds. The position is based at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital and requires pre-employment physical, reference, drug-screening, and regulatory checks.
