Description
The Equalization Director directs the day-to-day operations of Meade County’s Equalization Department, supervising real property appraisers and an administrative assistant. The role oversees mass and reappraisal projects, tax relief programs, appeals, TIF districts, sales ratio uploads, department budgets, compliance with South Dakota statutes and appraisal standards, and coordination with taxing entities, state agencies, and other county departments. It requires a baccalaureate-level education, at least five years of related experience, a valid South Dakota driver’s license, and CAA certification.
