Periodic Labs is hiring a full-time Equipment Engineer to own the commissioning, qualification, maintenance, and reliability of vacuum and deposition hardware for its AI-accelerated thin-film and semiconductor processing laboratory. The role involves bringing up PVD, CVD, and ALD tools, integrating in-situ characterization and metrology, writing specifications and SOPs, supporting vendor procurement and technical negotiations, troubleshooting complex hardware and vacuum issues, and establishing equipment data pipelines. The position is on-site in Menlo Park, California, requires a relevant engineering or materials science degree and extensive vacuum-systems experience, and offers $200,000 to $275,000 plus equity.
