Description
The Equipment Operator maintains county roads, bridges, cattle guards, culverts, signs, and equipment; grades gravel roads, prepares paved surfaces, hauls heavy equipment, installs and maintains infrastructure, operates patrol and snowplow vehicles, performs vehicle and equipment maintenance, and coordinates work with the assistant highway supervisor. The role requires outdoor work in all weather, a valid Nevada driver's license and Class A CDL, basic carpentry and concrete-construction knowledge, general equipment-repair knowledge, road-repair procedures, computer skills, and the ability to work independently and safely. No prior work experience is required, and the position has a six-month probation period.
