The Equipment Operator I operates simple automated assembly machines in a clean-room medical-device manufacturing environment. The role involves starting and running equipment, interpreting gauges and machine faults, performing basic troubleshooting and fixture alignment, completing electronic batch records and production documentation, inspecting and testing products, and weighing, counting, packaging, and labeling finished goods. Candidates need a high school diploma, GED, or employment assessment, must be at least 18, and should have basic computer skills and the ability to read procedures. The job requires repetitive lifting of up to 20 pounds and limited travel.
