Description
The Harris County Flood Control District is hiring a full-time Equipment Operator to maintain stormwater channels, drainage elements, and rights-of-way. The role operates trucks, tractors, chainsaws, four-wheel-drive utility vehicles, and weed trimmers; drives trash trucks; mixes and dispenses herbicides; removes vegetation and debris; and maintains and reports equipment issues. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of field operations or related experience, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license, and outdoor field work. The work location is 5301 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Texas, and salary is to be discussed at the interview.
