Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator operates bulldozers, motor graders, front-end loaders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment to clear and level land, transport materials, and support county road and construction work. The role also includes basic equipment maintenance, traffic-control truck operation, assisting with laborer work, and supervising or training other equipment operators. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, two years of equipment-operator experience, a valid Class A driver’s license, a satisfactory motor vehicle record, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in hazardous outdoor conditions.
