Microsoft is hiring an Equity Compensation Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting for employee stock-based compensation programs, including RSUs, PSUs, and the ESPP. The role measures and recognizes ASC 718 expense, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, supports SEC reporting, coordinates equity transactions, maintains SOX controls, advises on equity program changes, and leads process improvements. Candidates need a relevant bachelor's or master's degree plus accounting or finance experience, with public-company equity accounting, SEC reporting, ERP, Excel, and SOX experience preferred. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 77,800–153,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
