Description
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, observing and reporting changes in condition, documenting interventions, assisting with emergency situations, supporting training and orientation, maintaining patient privacy, and performing clerical and patient-support tasks. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, practical nursing or equivalent training, and the ability to perform physical patient-care activities; six months of direct patient care experience is preferred.
