Description
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include gathering patient data, observing patient conditions, reporting changes, documenting interventions, assisting with emergency situations, supporting training and orientation, maintaining patient privacy, and performing general clerical duties. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a practical nursing, certified PCT, certified nurse assistant, medical assistant, EMT, or phlebotomy training program; six months of direct patient care experience is preferred.
