Description
The client is hiring an Estimator to independently prepare cost estimates and proposals for timber construction components and trades. The role involves determining manufacturing costs from bills of quantities, construction plans, and specifications; reviewing tender documents; requesting, evaluating, and negotiating offers for materials and subcontractors; and collaborating with planning, project management, and customers. Candidates need a relevant civil engineering, timber construction, building technician, or comparable qualification, solid construction cost-estimation experience, technical and commercial judgment, and proficiency with construction software and Microsoft Excel.
