Description
The Certified Recovery Coach provides peer-based, non-clinical recovery support to individuals in or seeking recovery from substance use and/or addiction while incarcerated and after release. The role helps clients initiate and sustain recovery, remove barriers, create change plans, connect with treatment and support resources, attend aftercare and self-help meetings, and follow up with providers. Candidates need a current New York State driver's license, reliable transportation, accurate recordkeeping, good interpersonal skills, a high school diploma or GED, and a Certified Recovery Coach (CCAR) credential. Two schedules are available, Sunday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with pay of $18 to $21 per hour.
