Description
Montana State University is hiring one Event Technician for its Sports Facilities department to provide technical support for athletic events, concerts, and other special events in campus venues. The role manages and repairs audio-visual, lighting, scoreboard, and other event equipment; maintains inventory; troubleshoots technical issues; trains users; coordinates with vendors and university IT; and supervises up to 60 part-time, contracted, volunteer, or student staff. The position works 30 hours per week on an event-driven schedule, with nights, weekends, and occasional holidays, and pays $21.50 to $25.00 per hour. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or certification in a relevant technical field plus progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
