Safety National is hiring an Excess WC Claims Manager to manage high-exposure workers’ compensation claims from assignment through closure. The role evaluates coverage and exposure, establishes and updates reserves, negotiates settlements, coordinates medical and litigation strategies, directs third-party administrators, monitors counsel performance, identifies reinsurance involvement, and handles reimbursement, vendor checks, audits, and problem claims. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience; the position offers remote work for candidates outside the St. Louis metropolitan area or a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week in the St. Louis corporate office.
