Description
The Executive Director of Advanced and Emerging Technology Services will lead the development, launch, and ongoing management of the College of Southern Maryland’s emerging IT technologies and artificial intelligence strategy. The role oversees responsible AI adoption and governance across teaching, learning, student success, administrative operations, and workforce development; manages the AI Center’s budget and support positions; leads cross-functional initiatives; develops training and certification pathways; executes the AI strategic roadmap; advises on AI governance; and promotes automation, analytics, and emerging technology integration across campus functions. The position reports to the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, requires a master’s degree in a relevant field and 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience, and is open until filled.
