Description

The Executive Director, Information Security reports to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for establishing and executing information security program directives, developing and enforcing policies, and overseeing network security systems. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and mitigating district-wide information security risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading the information security and operations teams.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Seven (7) years experience in the information technology field, including five (5) years in an information security role.
Three (3) years experience in large (>50,000 users) heterogeneous enterprise-level IT organization.
Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Contract and vendor negotiation experience.
Experience designing and managing new and existing security systems.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional security management certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar credentials.
Master’s degree.
