Description
Montana State University is hiring an Executive Director, QCORE, to lead a university-wide research institute focused on quantum science, engineering, and business. The role will develop long-term strategy, governance, partnerships, funding, workforce development, and operational programs; oversee budgeting, personnel, facilities, security, safety, compliance, and grant reporting; and mentor staff. It is a full-time professional contract with extensive travel, occasional evening and weekend work, and possible DoD security clearance requirements. The position requires a PhD or terminal degree in physics, engineering, or a related field, plus strategic leadership and federal research grant-seeking or business development experience. It is contingent on continued grant funding and is not eligible for sponsorship.
