Description
The Exercise Physiologist plans, guides, and directs patient care under physician direction, including resting and maximal/submaximal exercise tests, EKGs, physiological interpretation, exercise consultations, and health-screening support. The role also maintains electronic medical records, operates and disinfects testing equipment, manages supplies, and responds to Code 99 and Code 33 emergencies. It requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, or a related field, 6 months to 1 year of clinic EKG experience, and strong communication, organizational, computer, and customer-service skills; BLS and ACLS are preferred, while ACSM certification is strongly encouraged.
