Description
The part-time Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist provides assessment, treatment, testing, education, and individualized exercise programs for cardiac patients and their families. The role also supports exercise programs for pulmonary and metabolic patients, monitors patient safety, operates and troubleshoots exercise equipment, and contributes to care policies. It requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, clinical exercise physiology, or kinesiology, less than one year of direct clinical patient-care experience, and Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications; a master’s degree, registered clinical exercise physiologist certification, and Certified Cardiac Rehab Professional certification are preferred.
