Description
The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant assists the dentist and operations leader by preparing treatment rooms and patients, sterilizing instruments, assisting chairside, taking radiographs and digital scans, recording medical and dental histories, completing dental prophylaxis, fitting orthodontic appliances, managing lab cases and equipment, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and providing patient education and customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, state-required Expanded Functions Dental Assisting licensure or training, and X-ray certification.
