ALTEN is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer in Cholet, France, for a permanent contract. The role develops and validates embedded software for strategic defense systems, focusing on real-time C/C++ and Python applications, constrained-environment integration, CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation. Candidates need an engineering or master’s degree in computer science or electronics with embedded-systems specialization, at least two years of industrial C/C++ and Python experience, knowledge of real-time systems and defense or aerospace standards, and familiarity with Git, CMake, Docker, and Agile/DevOps. Defense security clearance eligibility is mandatory for relevant sites.
