Description

GlobalFoundries is hiring a Field Application Engineer to engage with semiconductor customers, assess their technical needs, identify winning technology solutions, partner with account management and technical experts, and resolve issues to convert design opportunities into production-ready designs for tapeout. The role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field, at least 15 years of semiconductor industry experience, knowledge of IC design flows and EDA tools, and up to 20% travel primarily within Europe.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field, such as applied physics
Required Previous Experiences: At least 15 years of semiconductor industry experience in design and/or process
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent
5 years of semiconductor product design experience at the chip or module level
Industrial and automotive segment experience
Direct experience with IC chip design flows and EDA tools
Experience in digital, analog mixed-signal, high-voltage power, eNVM, millimeter-wave, or silicon photonics IC product design
SoC product integration or design experience
