Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer in Rehovot, Israel, for its Hardware R&D group developing complex optical and electron microscopy machines used in semiconductor wafer inspection. The role covers mechanical design of structural elements, optomechanical systems, calibrations, pneumatics, vacuum, filtration, and cooling systems; experimental work; CAE simulations; GD&T and tolerance analysis; and multidisciplinary design reviews. Candidates need a BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, at least five years of mechanical design experience, CAD and CAE proficiency, GD&T and tolerance analysis skills, strong analytical and communication abilities, and fluent English. The position is regular and full-time, with 10% travel and no relocation eligibility.
