Description
The Advanced Practice Provider works in a clinic as part of a collaborative care team, providing chronic and acute care to patients in outpatient and possibly inpatient settings. The role diagnoses and treats conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, minor injuries, and infections; orders and interprets diagnostic tests; prescribes medications and treatments; counsels patients; and collaborates with physicians, case managers, and clinic staff. Required qualifications include graduate credit for a PA/NP program, current Georgia licensure and prescriptive authority, current BLS certification, and at least two years of primary care experience.
