Description
Perle is hiring expert Afrikaans transcribers to convert audio recordings of native speakers into accurate, time-aligned written transcripts for AI speech recognition, dialogue, and evaluation systems. The role requires native Afrikaans fluency, mastery of standard orthography, the ability to distinguish Afrikaans from Dutch, and experience with code-switching, speaker attribution, disfluencies, and non-speech events. Applicants must have at least two years of professional transcription, captioning, court reporting, broadcast, translation, or linguistic annotation experience and be able to commit to a defined weekly volume. Compensation is paid per task or per minute, with flexible scheduling and a paid pilot task before full onboarding.
