Perle is hiring an expert Mesopotamian Arabic (Iraqi) transcriber to convert audio recordings of native speakers into accurate, time-aligned written transcripts. The role requires expert linguistic judgment, including orthographic decisions, speaker attribution, code-switching, disfluencies, and non-speech events, with a focus on Iraqi Arabic dialects and loanwords. Applicants must be native to Iraq or deeply immersed, have at least two years of relevant transcription or linguistic annotation experience, and be comfortable with web-based annotation platforms. Compensation is paid per task or per minute, with flexible scheduling and a paid pilot task before full onboarding.
