Jimdo is hiring an Expert Backend Engineer for its Get Discovered team to lead scalable backend architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, reliability, and engineering standards. The role is an expert-level individual contributor who also contributes to frontend work using React and TypeScript, mentors engineers, influences product and engineering strategy, and manages external vendor dependencies. It requires 8+ years of product-led engineering experience, deep backend expertise in Kotlin, Java, or Node.js, and hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools. The position is fully remote with flexible working hours and opportunities for in-person collaboration.
