Responsibilities include leading component development, applying best software engineering practices, integrating code, improving build processes, developing custom Linux distributions, troubleshooting system issues, and staying updated on industry trends.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Required Previous Experiences: Eight (8) years of C++ development experience, with a strong focus on embedded Linux systems.
Strong experience in C++ programming for embedded systems.
Proven experience developing and debugging Linux applications.
Experience with cross-compilation and building software for target hardware.
Proficient in using debuggers on target hardware to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Strong knowledge of shell scripting for automation tasks.
In-depth experience with build systems such as Buildroot and Yocto to build your own distribution.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Proficiency in source code management using Git.
Strong knowledge of common processor buses (PCI, PCIe) and common interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Linux kernel internals and Linux device drivers.
Knowledge of video protocols such as SMPTE ST2110, ST2022, and ST2059.
Familiarity with bootloaders such as u-boot.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Stash, and Confluence.
