Arista Networks is hiring a Senior/Lead System Software Engineer for its Extensible Operating System (EOS) software development team. The role owns software projects from definition through deployment, developing and implementing Linux-based drivers, APIs, networking software, automated tests, and fixes for EOS and related products. Responsibilities include writing specifications, debugging, collaborating with customers and system test engineers, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to project schedules. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, C, C++, and Python, open-source software experience, Linux driver and API development, ASIC or custom hardware programming, and distributed-systems knowledge. The new-hire base pay range is $140,000 to $210,000 across Canada, with medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection, and retirement benefits.
