Description
The Handler screens cargo under Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules, searches for threats using X-ray, physical search, and trace detection methods, and works with a trained explosive detection dog. The role includes canine care, training-record maintenance, certifications and security-clearance compliance, company-vehicle operation during training, and variable field work involving outdoor conditions, nights, weekends, holidays, travel, and physical activity. Candidates must be U.S. citizens for at least three years, have 1–2 years of documented operational explosive-detection-dog handling experience, obtain required airport credentials and certifications, hold a valid compliant driver's license with a clear three-year record, and lift up to 100 pounds.
