Description
The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Coordinator supports the Consumer Horticulture Extension Agent and Johnston County Extension programs by coordinating volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training logistics, database reporting, customer helpline operations, community outreach, communications, and program administration. The role also assists with horticulture workshops, demonstration gardens, and other extension activities. It requires volunteer leadership, communication, organization, social media, basic graphic design, and horticultural awareness, along with at least two years of relevant experience, formal coursework or hands-on experience in consumer horticulture or related fields, and local travel within Johnston County.
