Amgen is hiring a Director of External Research & Development - Technology Innovation Business Development to lead the search, evaluation, and transaction activities for external partnerships focused on AI-enabled technologies and other technology innovation opportunities. The role involves identifying and assessing opportunities, building relationships with technology and biotech partners, leading cross-functional diligence and negotiations, executing collaborations and licensing agreements, and advising senior leadership. It is ideally based at an Amgen Research hub in South San Francisco, California, or Thousand Oaks, California, and requires a scientific doctorate with four years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with seven years, or a bachelor's degree with nine years of experience.
