Description
The Fiber Optic Cable Extrusion Operator sets up, runs, and monitors a 3-inch extrusion line used to manufacture fiber optic cable. The role includes reading setup sheets and automation files, adjusting machines, inspecting products, applying prints, completing paperwork, cleaning equipment, identifying defects, and following safety and quality procedures. It requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of machine-operation experience, mechanical aptitude, documentation and ERP skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The position operates Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some schedule flexibility, overtime availability, and 33 hours per week with full-time benefits.
