Numat is hiring a Fabric Process Development Engineer in Chicago, Illinois, to develop and scale proprietary metal-organic framework deposition, nonwoven construction, and lamination processes from bench and pilot trials through commercial production. The role owns the integrated web-line process, defines operating windows and control strategies, runs pilot and external trials, designs experiments, analyzes data, supports equipment qualification and commissioning, and partners with research, quality, and manufacturing teams. It requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related discipline, at least five years of industrial R&D or process development experience, and hands-on web-converting and surface-deposition experience.
