Google Quantum AI is hiring a Fabrication Backend Process Engineer to develop and sustain die singulation, die preparation, hybridization, and device characterization processes for quantum processor devices. The role involves operating and troubleshooting equipment, building scalable backend process infrastructure, analyzing process data for yield improvement, and collaborating with design, test, integration, and frontend teams. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, plus one year each of cleanroom, process-control or metrology, and hybridization experience; master’s or PhD experience and advanced characterization or data-analysis skills are preferred.
