Description
The Fabrication Machine Operator operates and maintains fabric and machine shop equipment, including cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches. The role involves reading job specifications, setting machine stops and guides, positioning and measuring workpieces, removing burrs and scale, performing minor maintenance, and completing related fabrication tasks. A high school diploma or GED, or three to six months of related experience and training, is required. The position requires regular attendance, physical activity, and exposure to noise, moving machinery, heat, chemicals, and other industrial hazards.
