Description

Yorktel is looking for a Fabrication Technician to build, populate, wire, and terminate equipment racks for high-end AV and Videoconferencing facilities. This role involves collaborating with the Commissioning Engineering Team to stage, test, troubleshoot, and prepare systems for shipping, ensuring they meet project commitments technically.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience in Audio Visual Solutions, including videoconferencing, multimedia, distance learning, facility coordination, or networking systems.
Extensive use of business computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
Strong program management knowledge and experience, including group facilitation and team-building skills.
Experience developing and implementing improvement and change programs/processes.
Experience managing third-party suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of DSP devices – Clear One / Vortex / Biamp – would be desirable but not necessary.
Working knowledge of Control Systems – AMX / Crestron – would be desirable but necessary.
CTS certification required within 6 months.
