Description
The Industrial Shop Assistant supports gasket, hose, mechanical seal, cylinder repair, and conveyor belting departments by measuring, cutting, fabricating, assembling, testing, packing, shipping, and maintaining shop inventory and areas. The role operates presses, cutters, shears, forklifts, and other equipment; follows lean, safety, and quality practices; and works under close supervision. A high school diploma or GED is required, while one year of industrial shop experience, basic computer skills, tape-measure and basic-math ability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are specified.
