SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a Facilities Electrical Protection & Controls Engineer to design, construct, operate, and maintain electrical power distribution systems and substation protection and controls. The role includes power system studies, relay and SCADA design, fault analysis, arc-flash risk assessments, project scoping, technical reviews, and management of complex engineering projects. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a relevant discipline, at least five years of directly related experience, ETAP or related software proficiency, knowledge of communication protocols, and strong project-management and troubleshooting skills.
