Description
Amazon is hiring a Facilities Engineer to maintain and operate electrical and cooling systems in AWS data centers. The role includes responding to equipment failures, investigating technical issues, installing and removing equipment, monitoring systems, planning maintenance, managing vendors, coordinating hardware and parts delivery, and reducing facility operation costs. The position requires at least one year of experience in facilities, electrical, mechanical, fire prevention, control systems, or related equipment; the ability to work non-standard shifts, including 12-hour shifts and a 4-days-on/3-days-off schedule; and the ability to safely lift approximately 18 kg with assistive equipment. Preferred experience includes electrical or mechanical engineering, manufacturing, marine, oil and gas, alternative energy, nuclear power, or telecommunications. The work location is a data center in Chiba Prefecture.
