Description
Amazon is hiring a Facilities Engineer for its Data Center Engineering & Operations team to maintain and operate mechanical and electrical systems in data centers supporting AWS. The role includes responding to equipment issues, investigating failures, installing and removing equipment, monitoring systems, planning maintenance, managing vendors, coordinating hardware teams, and reducing facility operating costs. The position requires at least one year of relevant experience or a basic understanding of facilities, electrical, mechanical, fire prevention, control systems, and related equipment, along with the ability to work non-standard shift schedules and safely lift approximately 18 kg of equipment. The work location is a data center in the Greater Tokyo area, with possible locations in Tokyo, Chiba, or Kanagawa.
