Description
Amazon Web Services is hiring a Facilities Engineer to maintain and operate on-site power, cooling, mechanical, electrical, fire-protection, and control-systems equipment in AWS data centers. The role responds to equipment failures, investigates breakdowns, installs and removes equipment, plans maintenance, manages vendors, and supports safe, reliable 24/7 cloud infrastructure. Candidates need at least one year of relevant facilities or equipment experience, the ability to work non-standard shifts, and the ability to safely lift approximately 18 kg of equipment; experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, manufacturing, marine, oil and gas, alternative energy, nuclear power, or telecommunications is preferred. The work location is a data center in the greater Tokyo area, including Tokyo, Chiba, or Kanagawa.
