Description
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice is a non-career, term position in the Airport Authority’s Apprentice Employment Program, serving at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The apprentice learns structural maintenance and repair across carpentry, roofing, masonry, drywall, flooring, woodwork, and related trades; performs preventive inspections; coordinates with other trades; maintains work orders; and operates a pick-up truck on the airport complex. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, eligibility to work in the United States, a state driver’s license, physical ability to perform demanding work, and successful completion of a background investigation. Compensation is $19.63-$31.07, with the posting open from September 18, 2026, through October 3, 2026.
