Description
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic performs journey-level mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, preventive maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation work on university facilities and systems. The role works on-site at the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Campus during Sunday–Thursday shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with shift differential eligibility. Applicants need four years of increasingly responsible experience leading to journey-level skills in a mechanical or facilities/building trade, or equivalent training and experience; a valid driver's license is required, and asbestos, lead, and respiratory-protection training may be needed. The anticipated hiring salary is $73,812–$86,484 per year, with health, dental, vision, retirement, and educational benefits.
