Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports Goodwill Central Texas by performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance across retail stores, community centers, warehouses, and program facilities. The role troubleshoots and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and other building systems; completes work orders and preventive maintenance; responds to emergency calls; coordinates vendors; conducts safety inspections; and supports minor construction and installation projects. Candidates need one to three months of related experience or approved training, appliance, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC repair skills, tool-operation ability, multitasking ability, a valid driver’s license, personal auto and liability insurance, and a good driving record. The position requires physical work in varying warehouse and non-climate-controlled environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
