Description
Michigan State University is hiring a temporary/on-call Facilities Maintenance Technician to support College of Human Medicine buildings in Grand Rapids. The role assists the Building Services Engineer and Operations Team with a wide range of maintenance and facilities tasks including drywall repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry, hardware installation, locksmithing, equipment repair, safety testing, furniture assembly and moving, cleaning, and minor mechanical/electrical work. The position is on-call with first-shift hours, requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use tools, and favors candidates with about one year of maintenance or repair training or coursework and strong customer service skills.
