Description
The Shed is hiring a Facilities Manager to oversee operations for its technologically advanced Manhattan arts and performance facility. The role manages maintenance, event operations, cleanliness, facilities staff, vendors, contractors, supervisors, preventative maintenance, capital improvements, budgets, safety and security operations, regulatory compliance, and coordination with production, events, programming, visitor experience, venue rentals, adjoining properties, and local authorities. Candidates need at least five years of facilities-management supervisory experience, union-environment experience, broad building systems knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work hands-on in challenging physical environments, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency responses.
