Description
The Plant Utilities Manager directly supervises utilities operators, installers, and mechanics while overseeing steam, water, chilled water, and compressed air systems. The role includes safety monitoring, performance reviews, training, equipment documentation, technical support, customer relations, project coordination, and problem resolution. It requires a science or engineering bachelor’s degree, at least five years of plant utilities experience in a regulated industry, at least three years leading teams, CMMS and work-management knowledge, OSHA safety knowledge, and strong communication and organizational skills.
